Yesterday I toured the historic city of Geneva.
We explored the city’s Calvinistic roots at the reformation wall. John Calvin put Geneva on the map by bringing the Christian sect of Calvinism to Geneva. Immigrants flocked to the city to escape religious persecution in France and Italy as well as other European countries. The Reformation wall commemorates Calvin and recognizes other historical figures who were important in bringing Calvinism to their respective countries. The four main leaders can be seen below:
The section of Geneva I find the most beautiful is the water fountains. The “tap” water quality is so good, that people drink directly from the fountains located around the city. In fact, Switzerland has the best drinking water in the world.
