Zermatt and Matterhorn

IMG_5201.jpgToday I went to visit the Matterhorn in Zermatt, Switzerland. When we got there we took a gondola up the mountain to over 8,000 feet!

IMG_5205.jpg The ride was amazing. We had 360 degree views of the mountains. I even got to see snow in October.

IMG_5228.jpgAfter playing in the snow we went down to the Matterhorn Museum.

IMG_5249.jpgInside is a recreated ski village underground. We learned about the history of Zermatt and the tragedy of the first Matterhorn ascent.
