This past weekend I went to Hungary to visit my friend and fellow CMCer, Amy Wu!
We went to the Museum of Terror which explores Hungary’s dark history under both the Nazi and Soviet occupation.
Then we checked out Vajdahunyad Castle and city City Park. This was my favorite part of Budapest. The castle is gorgeous and settled on a lake just beyond Hero’s Square. It is far enough out of the city to be peaceful. There was also a cool hippie community living in the park.
We also saw Matthais church and Fisherman’s Bastion. This is a beautiful church with a colorfully tiled roof. There is a great lookout of the Danube.
